Do I lose control?

No. You own everything.

• Your code — the full source is yours, no proprietary lock-in
• Your content — all written in standard markdown or WordPress format
• Your hosting — we can host it, or you can take it elsewhere
• Your design — the component system works independently of us
• Portable — Hugo sites can move to WordPress, static can grow to Hugo

We don’t believe in lock-in. If you want to leave, you take everything with you. That’s how it should work.
